SPIDER-MAN Casting Coming Next Week; New Issues Added To Shortlist

Much has been made throughout the mystery surrounding the casting associated with SPIDER-MAN with Marvel now active in the creative development of the character, thanks to their groundbreaking partnership with Sony. Each of the studios intend to share the character as part of their respective worlds, with Sony firing a new franchise, and Marvel although web-slinger in any number of their arrival blockbusters. Their first order of business are finding the right person to play him, and then the studio has been moving quickly towards fill the role so the depth can make his debut in in the future year's CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL ICH WAR.

It's already been reported that a candidate has been formed that includes Asa Butterfield, Tom Holland, and Nat Wolff, among others, and recent reports seem to state that Butterfield has won the action. But , it appears that that may have been a lttle bit pre-emptive, as Marvel has added plenty of new contenders to the list. These are generally Matthew Lintz (the upcoming Mandsperson Sandler comedy PIXELS), Charlie Plummer (BOARDWALK EMPIRE), Charlie Rowe (Fox's RED BAND SOCIETY), and Judah Lewis (POINT BREAK). Out of the basic list, Butterfield and Tom The low countries are the only two who are screen-testing this weekend in Atlanta, plus the other four we just claimed. So right now, it's anybody's assume as to who will win the action.

One person that will definitely NOT be Spider-Man are TEEN WOLF star Dylan O'Brien. Despite a fierce online excute election campaign, fans were unsuccessful in instability Marvel to hire the charismatic WEB RUNNER star. O'Brien is more than two decades old, and Marvel is inclined to casting somebody between the ages associated with 16-20, so it doesn't appear that most O'Brien would have had a chance no matter what, but he probably would have been incredible in the role.

Keep checking to come back with us all next week as we tell of any developments on the SPIDER-MAN 1st, but we turn the question back. Who would YOU like to see play Spider-Man? Is Butterfield still the best choice? You think Marvel should let Dylan O'Brien have a chance to audition? Sound reduced below.
