Alstom T&D India has flagged off the first "Made in India" 800kV HVDC convertor transformer from the world-class power transformer manufacturing facility support Vadodara, in the state of Gujarat. The transformer was flagged-off by- Hon'ble Chief Minister of Gujarat, Smt. Anandiben Patel, in the attractiveness of I. S. Jha, Encargado Projects, PowerGrid and other eminent royalty from various central utilities, appearance utilities and private customers.
The convertor transformer is part of PowerGrid's3000 MW, 800kV Champa-Kurukshetra UHVDC Phase no.1 link that connects the power récréation of Central India near Champa to the demand center, 1365 mi. away in Northern India support Kurukshetra.
