Apple could possibly be forced to make a recall of one of products, a Beats Wireless wedding speaker which has been labelled a fire risk.
With the CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) in the US, the Beats Pill XL portable wireless speaker has a issue with a potentially overheating battery and poses a fire hazard.
This isn't a small recall either – the CSPC notes that it involves all the types of the speaker in the US, around 230, 000 units along with 11, 1000 in Canada.
Apparently eight consumers already have contacted Apple and reported this speaker overheating, causing a consume to a desk in one case, when a burn to the owner's finger within.
The wireless speakers have been which will make from January 2014 until now to be found at Apple stores in the US, and on the very Apple. com site, as well as the Beatsbydre. com site.
The CSPC says: "Consumers should immediately stop utilization of recalled product and contact Fruit for a $325 Apple Store overall credit score or electronic payment. Apple brings a postage paid box designed for consumers to send their Pill XL speaker to Apple. "
With a statement, Apple said: "Apple announced recently a voluntary recall of Heart beats Pill XL speakers, including a rebate for customers. Apple has determined which unfortunately, in rare cases, the battery from the Beats Pill XL may heat up and pose a fire safety chances. The recall does not affect any Beats or Apple products. "
Considering Apple hasn't long earned Beats in the grand scheme pointing to things, it's not the best development the seller could have hoped for on the hardware front wheel.
